We have just been informed of the tragic death of Brian Rhone. From information I've heard he was riding a motorcycle with a passenger on the back. The accident claimed the life of Brian and the passenger is in critical condition. Many of you may remember the Rhone family as they were very much a part of THS. Mrs. Betty Rhone was the librarian for Tomball Jr. High for many years. His father, Mr. Jimmy Rhone worked at the tax office. Both of his sisters, Rhonda and Donna are also alumni. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time. Brian was a graduate of the class of 1980.
As I find out more information on the services I will keep you fellow alumni informed.
I'm sorry I don't know off-hand what year he graduated. If anyone from his class can post this up, it would be great....

The Friends and Family of Dale Posinski invite you to attend a benefit BBQ and auction Saturday May 9, 2009 at S.P.J.S.T. Hall at 1234 Huffmeister in Cypress from 2:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. The meal tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for twelve years of age and under.
There will be a silent and a live auction, a raffle, a fifty- fifty, and donations are also being accepted. All proceeds are to benefit Dale Posinski.
If there is anyone that wants to buy raffle tickets, they can contact my parents, Charles and Delorse Posinski at 936-873-2113. The raffle tickets will also be on sale that day. There is also an account set up at Guaranty Federal Bank in Tomball under Dale’s name for this benefit if any one wants to donate . Dale Posinski is 29 years old, and born and raised in Tomball, Texas. Dale is a THS graduate and loves to drive race cars, hunt, and watch football. Dale has been diagnosed with Chron's disease. Chron's disease is a chronic inflammatory disease of the digestive/gastrointestinal tract. Dale has the worst form of the disease and at times can be very debilitating. Since he has been diagnosed it has made it impossible for him to consistently work due to hospital stays and receiving blood and maintain health and medical benefits. The doctors are still unsure if Dale will need to undergo surgery to remove scar tissue.
Please plan to attend the benefit and show the Cougar Spirit, if you are unable to attend please send a donation to help defray some of the medical costs of this disease.
And as always please continue to pray for Dale and his family as they battle this disease.
In the Cougar Spirit,
Becky Clepper
THSAA President

When the winner of the Academy of Country Music’s “Top New Vocal Duo or Group” is announced live April 5, it could be a Tomball man walking up to the stage to accept the award. Mike Eli, who graduated from Tomball High School in 1999, is the lead singer of Eli Young Band and said being nominated for the ACM award was “pretty cool.” The band was formed at the University of North Texas eight years ago and is made up of Eli, his former roommate James Young, and the guys who roomed next door, Jon Jones and Chris Thompson.
