One of the things that will make the big “COUGARS COMING HOME” all class reunion so great will be the re-creation of four blocks of Main Street from the old downtown section of Tomball from the 1960’s.

Two of the key volunteer committee personnel needed for this recreation are: someone to make props for the street, and someone to reach out to the community in search of certain old 1960’s items that we can rent or borrow for that one day event. All of this is an effort to make our re-creation look as authentic as possible. Anyone in the Greater Tomball community not just THS Alumni that would like to be a part of this once in a lifetime event can volunteer for these positions. If interested please contact Becky Clepper via this website or by calling 281-255-3517.

The props maker would be responsible for building from scratch several items that combine both some woodworking and other craft skills such as working with foam rubber and other light weight materials that can be fashioned into props to hang from our storefronts such as clocks, barber poles ect., the recreation of a phone booth and a one person jail cell. Someone perhaps retired that likes woodworking from their home ect. would be ideally suited for this.

The antique hunter would be searching for other real props that we could perhaps rent or borrow for placement on the street. Several 1960’s era gas pumps, two fire hydrants, a flag pole, brand name signs such as Esso & Sinclare gasoline, Electrolux vacuum cleaners, old movie posters, ect.
