The Annual General Meeting of Tomball High School Alumni Association will be held Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. in the Amegy Bank meeting room on the second floor at 28210 Tomball Parkway in Tomball.
Annual elections for new board members is the main purpose of this meeting each year, however, this year there was no need for voting as the exact amount of candidates for the available positions had filed by the December 12th deadline. After all names of candidates were approved by Board President Bill Webb to run in the election, they were declared the official new board members by the Executive Committee at the Executive Committee meeting as is their right under the by-laws. The 3 new board members are: Vicki Gordy('71), Tony Swonke('75), and Gary Crawford('88) and Becky Clepper('72) will be taking on the responsibility of 1st Vice President, Kay Glasscock('74) will assume the 2nd Vice President's position, Frankie Stewart('74)will assume the Secretary position and Kristi Goodman('88) will become our new Treasurer. The new directors will join the remaining existing directors for the first time at this meeting.
Other items to be discussed and shared with voting members and guest in attendance will be the report on the All Class Reunion, our scholarship plans for 2008, update on 100 Club, volunteer of the year award, Homecoming activities, and fundraising ideas.
This meeting is open to the public and anyone that ever attended or worked at Tomball High School is encouraged to attend and become active in the organization.
